The Old Roselyon Domiciliary Care Agency is looking to expand its workforce!!!
We need staff to join our happy and professional team to continue to provide excellent care in the community to the elderly and frail, who choose to stay in their own homes. Constantly promoting independence, dignity and respect to those we care for.
We are looking for someone experienced, compassionate, willing to learn with a desire to care for people. The areas we cover are St Austell, Par, Fowey, St Blazey and Charlestown.
Purpose of the Role:
To deliver high-quality, person-centred care to elderly service users with physical disabilities, in accordance with individual care plans and agreed timeframes. This includes assistance with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily living activities within the safety and comfort of the client’s home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respectful and dignified personal care including assistance with washing, bathing, dressing, continence care, and mobility.
- Support service users with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met in a timely and hygienic manner.
- Assist in the use and care of mobility aids and personal equipment.
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments, ensuring service user safety at all times.
- Accurately record care provided, including updates to daily logs and care plans.
- Maintain professional standards in accordance with the Company’s policies, procedures, and the Carer’s Handbook.
- Uphold confidentiality, dignity, and the rights of each service user.
- Report and document any accidents or incidents in accordance with company protocol.
- Respect and protect service users’ property and personal information.
- Attend mandatory training, staff meetings, supervisions and appraisals.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (desirable).
- If not qualified, completion of the Care Certificate is required within 6 months of employment.
Experience:
- Minimum one year of experience working with elderly individuals (desirable).
Skills:
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Good observational and reporting abilities.
- Ability to follow care plans and work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining respectful and professional relationships.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
- Reliable transportation and valid driving license
