Summary
The post holder shall assist the Nursing Lead and Practice Manager in clinical supervision and appraisals of the junior nursing and healthcare assistant team. To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the service. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries. To lead on and support the junior team in promoting an environment conducive to the training needs of other staff and students and participate in education programmes as required. The post holder frequently will work unsupervised and is accountable for care delivered, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in decision making in the management of patients.
