An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse to join a state-of-the-art hospital in West London on a fixed term contract. This RCVS accredited hospital offers an exceptional standard of care across first opinion, emergency, critical care, and referral services, giving nurses the chance to work with a truly diverse and rewarding caseload.
Equipped with a new CT scanner, advanced diagnostic tools, and an outstanding team that includes a diploma holder in imaging, highly experienced surgeons, and a robust medical department, this is the ideal place for a natural leader who thrives in a fast paced environment. Surgical procedures range from advanced orthopaedics and soft tissue to minimally invasive interventions, making every day varied and clinically enriching.
The role is perfect for an experienced RVN who is confident in their abilities and ready to take on leadership responsibility without committing long-term—perhaps someone looking to explore senior hospital nursing in a supportive and cutting edge setting. Working alongside the Head Nurse, you’ll take charge of managing the daily hospital workflow, including emergency and scheduled procedures. You’ll also support the training and mentorship of junior team members, help implement induction plans, and uphold the highest standards of inpatient care.
In return, you’ll be fully supported by a dedicated leadership team, including the Head Nurse, Head Vet, and Hospital Manager. With an amazing culture of teamwork and a focus on patient welfare, you’ll be encouraged to develop or showcase your leadership, coordination, and clinical excellence.
Located in a lovely area of West London, the hospital is perfectly situated with excellent transport links to central London, a more relaxed pace of life, and access to beautiful green spaces —ideal for unwinding after a busy shift.
