Summary

Join Our Team as a Support Worker in Kidderminster!

Pay: £12.31 per hour (£50 per Sleep-In Shift)
Position: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Kidderminster, DY10 (Just a 5 min drive from Kidderminster Train Station)
Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence Covering Manual Vehicles

Who Will I Be Supporting?

You'll be supporting four gents and one lady, aged 20s to 60s, with learning disabilities and some complex health needs, including PEG feeding and epilepsy. These individuals live together in a shared home and enjoy a variety of activities:

- Active Lifestyles: Swimming (must be confident in the pool), football, and day trips.

- Creative Interests: Arts & crafts, music sessions, and sensory activities at home.

- Social Activities: Theatre trips, visiting day centres, and spending time in parks.

We're seeking support workers with a positive outlook, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to try new things.

What Will You Be Doing?

- Empowering Independence: Help residents live their lives how they choose and achieve their personal goals.

- Daily Living Support: Provide full personal care, meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, laundry, helping prepare food, keeping rooms tidy, and general housework.

- Providing Care: Assist with medication administration, PEG feeding, and manual handling with hoists.

- Effective Communication: Support three gentlemen who do not use words to communicate, ensuring they are understood and engaged.

- Consistent Support: Work with a team of two staff on every shift to maintain a supportive and safe environment.

Shift Patterns

- Day Shifts: 7am - 2:30pm (can start with a Sleep-In shift before)

- Day Shifts: 7:30am - 3pm

- Day Shifts: 8am - 3:30pm

- Day Shifts: 3:30pm - 7:30pm

- Day Shifts: 2pm - 9:30pm

- Day Shifts: 3pm - 10:30pm (can start with sleep shift following)

- Sleep-In Shifts: 10:30pm - 7am (Paid To Sleep)

Rotas are provided in advance to support a healthy work-life balance. We would expect 1-2 Sleep-In shift per week on a full time contract.
