Laboratory Technician (Environmental)
The School of Engineering is seeking to appoint a Laboratory Technician for its Bioenergy and Organic Resources Research Group facilities, within the Department of Civil, Maritime and Environmental Engineering. These specialist facilities support the University’s triple-helix strategy across several research groups linked to green and new energy technologies.

The School of Engineering are a world-class centre for education, research and enterprise; one of the largest and strongest engineering communities in the UK. The Technical and Experimental team provide essential technical support to laboratories and workshops in diverse areas including design, manufacturing, bioengineering, sound, vibration, environmental, maritime, civil engineering, mechanical engineering and materials.

To be successful in this role, you will:

-Have substantial technical experience in a relevant scientific discipline, as well as experience of working in a cleanroom environment.

-Be an effective team member who communicates effectively with others, including stakeholders external to the School of Engineering.

-Plan projects and work activities within established policies and procedures to solve complex technical problems.
