Summary

Post: HR and Payroll Assistant
Location: Minerva Learning Trust Central Office with travel between schools
Pay scale: NJC Grade 4, point 7: £25,584 to 12: £27,711 gross per annum
Contract: Temporary (maternity cover), full-time, 37 hours per week, 52 working weeks
Start date: As soon as possible to support cover arrangements for maternity leave until July 2026 or earlier return of the postholder.

We are looking to recruit a HR and Payroll Assistant to temporarily join our Central HR Team, based in the Central Trust Office at Sheffield Business Park in Tinsley, and to support the continued development and expansion of our HR service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is wanting to take the first steps into developing a career in human resources and access professional development opportunities to support this.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can assist with the day-to-day HR and Payroll administration for the Trust and its schools including recruitment and HR contracts.
• Can support delivery of recruitment activity including central team and leadership.
• Can provide general administrative support within the HR team.
• Can respond to HR queries via email and telephone.
• Can support the implementation of the Trust HR information system and update records where required.
• Can support the administration of meetings and act as notetaker where required.
• Can develop relationships with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
