Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of subjects and year groups with enthusiasm (up to you to decide which year groups), keeping pupils motivated and involved
  • Maintain a calm, respectful classroom using positive behaviour strategies
  • Observe and assess student development, feeding valuable insights back to the permanent teaching team
  • Seamlessly adapt your approach to fit different school environments and pupil needs

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong understanding of core subjects including English, Maths, and phonics
  • Flexible, adaptable attitude with the ability to quickly build rapport

  • Prior experience teaching in primary education settings

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive rates of pay tailored to your experience and skills
  • Access to a broad library of CPD courses and live webinars to support your career growth
  • Convenient digital tools via the Hays App-track your hours, request time off, complete training and more
  • Ongoing guidance from a specialist education consultant, including bespoke CV support
  • Flexible working options to suit your needs-choose from daily, short-term, or long-term placements
  • Enjoy our generous refer-a-friend scheme: £250 in vouchers when your referral completes 20 working days
