Summary

SEN Teaching Partner - Empower Young Minds

Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 (pro rata, depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and dedicated SEN Teaching Partner to join our inclusive and nurturing school community. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including those with EHCPs
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils with personal care needs, where required
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting)
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
