Summary

Duties for these posts within Care Homes include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food, along with understanding the requirements of special diets for residents.
Duties may include serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, it's surround and equipment.
Completion of required paperwork including electronic returns.
We have several vacancies for Assistant Cooks in Care Homes which provides care 7 days a week for residents.
Assistant Cook
Post 1 – Napier House, Glenrothes - 32.50 hours per week on a 52-week permanent basis
Post 2 – Lindsay House, Lumphinnans - 33.50 hours per week on a 52-week permanent basis
Posts consist of early and late shifts between the hours 7.30am - 6pm, working 5 days over 7 on a rota.
You will earn a competitive salary of £23,783.40 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:
£12.67 per hour, plus enhancements for shift work, including weekends.
Pay is every 4 weeks.

The Person
A Catering Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent is required for these posts?

You will be required to attend a full days Induction Training before starting in post.
