The Role
Are you looking for a role in a customer-focussed team, where you can utilise your existing skills in a service which is integral to supporting the wider Council? If so, this could be the role for you.
Working in a busy office environment you will be part of the Council’s Accounts Payable Team, providing an invoice payment function for the council. The role involves processing invoices, running reports and dealing with enquiries. You will support the wider Exchequer Services team, which includes the Council’s Payroll and Pensions functions, to provide an efficient and responsive service to Council colleagues and external customers.
About You
A good communicator with excellent customer service skills, you’ll be task focussed and motivated to get the job done. You should detail-orientated and a team player who has a proactive approach to work to support your colleagues and the service.
Previous experience in a financial role is not essential as training will be provided, but you’ll need to have administrative experience and be able to follow instructions and work to strict deadlines. Knowledge or experience of paying invoices and managing data electronically would be an advantage.
