Summary

Job Title: Experienced Meat Production Operative
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently seeking an experienced Meat Production Operative to join a well-established production facility based in Plymouth. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering consistent hours and a supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various meat processing machines safely and efficiently
  • Weigh, slice, and prepare raw meat for processing
  • Pack finished meat products into appropriate containers, following packaging standards and regulations
  • Perform routine quality checks on both raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with standards
  • Maintain high hygiene standards and ensure work area is kept clean and sanitary at all times
  • Follow client specifications related to weight, quality, and presentation
  • Perform manual handling and heavy lifting tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in meat production is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good physical stamina - this role is physically demanding
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a high-risk, chilled environment
