As we prepare to deliver on exciting new programmes and actively explore new programme ideas, we are looking for dynamic, passionate and talented individuals to join our team. We are recruiting a Senior Lecturer in Professional Development in Accounting and Finance.
Professional development and employability are core strand of the Business School’s undergraduate and postgraduate provision. We are therefore seeking an individual with experience in employability and professional development in the accounting & finance profession.
This appointment is specifically designed to build on the success of the Accounting and Finance team’s track record and impact in delivering an outstanding student experience. We seek applicants who have experience of teaching either in an academic or professional environment, with expertise in helping people develop professionally and enhancing their employability, who can contribute to the delivery of the Accounting and Finance professional development curriculum.
Bristol Business School comprises six subject clusters. Accounting and Finance; Economics; Human Resource Management; Marketing, Events and Tourism; Organisation Studies; Strategy and Operations Management. This post sits within the Accounting and Finance cluster.
Successful candidates will join a vibrant and expanding team of academics, who are engaged in a broad range of practice, research and scholarly activities promoting UWE Strategy 2030.
About you: We are looking for passionate individuals who are committed to excellence in teaching and practice to join Bristol Business School. The nature of our programmes means that candidates should be confident and comfortable working as part of a teaching team on large and sometimes interdisciplinary modules, as well as independently on smaller specialist modules.
To succeed in this role, you will require a sufficient depth and currency of specialist knowledge in your discipline, ideally with the ability to contribute to other related subject areas within the School, demonstrate a commitment to teaching with the ability to engage and inspire students within a variety of academic settings, and be able to design innovative teaching materials using a technology enhanced approach.
The focus of the post is to deliver outstanding learning outcomes for our students through exceptional teaching and learning on academic programmes within the School, as well as engaging in knowledge exchange, impactful research and other activities that enhance and inform teaching delivery, design and curriculum development.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.
