Join our Communications & Marketing team as a Senior Lead – Campaigns
Location: Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham NG2 3NG
Salary: £39,513 - £42,708 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

About the role
As our new Senior Lead – Campaigns, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and delivering high-impact, insight-driven campaigns that support Nottingham City Council’s strategic priorities.
From citizen engagement and service take-up to behaviour change and cost avoidance, your work will make a tangible difference to the lives of Nottingham’s residents.
You’ll lead the development and execution of multi-channel campaign action plans, working closely with internal teams and external partners. Your expertise will help shape the Council’s voice across digital and traditional platforms, ensuring our messages are clear, inclusive, and effective.
What you do
- Lead the planning and delivery of strategic campaigns aligned with council priorities
- Create compelling content across digital, print, and broadcast channels
- Support the Council’s media function
- Use data and insight to inform campaign strategy and evaluate impact
- Manage campaign budgets and external suppliers
- Support crisis communications and emergency response efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to amplify reach and engagement
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in campaign management with measurable outcomes
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, PR, branding, and audience engagement
- Excellent copywriting, content creation, and project management skills
- A relevant qualification (e.g. NCTJ, CIM, or equivalent experience)
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- A collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills
