Summary
This is a Permanent role working full-time.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Lecturer in Paramedic Science to join the highly successful paramedic team in the School of Health and Social Care. The position is on the Education Academic Career Pathway.
The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to the paramedic science programmes which are designed to prepare students for the dynamic, uncertain and unpredictable world of paramedic practice in a modernising health service; a role which can be both challenging and rewarding.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced HCPC registered paramedic with a relevant first degree and postgraduate qualification. The post would suit a paramedic or advanced paramedic practitioner with experience of teaching, supervising and mentoring students within practice and/or academia in paramedic science as well as other subject areas (preferably utilising innovative teaching methods such as high-fidelity simulation).
The successful candidate will be given support to further their academic and professional development and will be required to focus on Teaching, Scholarship and Student support.
The post is based at Swansea but teaching at other sites and visiting students on clinical practice placements will be required.
