Summary

We’re looking for a dependable Building Security and Workplace Officer to join our team and help ensure our facilities are secure, efficient, and ready for use each day.

Key Responsibilities:

Secure and close all council buildings at the end of the working day.
Perform routine security checks and lock-up procedures.
Carry out checks on Touch Down / Agile workstations, Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs), breakout areas, and welfare facilities across all office buildings.
Log and report issues with IT equipment and furniture to ICT and FM teams for repair or replacement.
Support the completion of practical tasks that cannot be done during standard working hours, such as minor repairs and step ladder tasks.
Maintain accurate records of checks, issues, and actions taken.
Essential Requirements for applicants:

Full UK driving licence – travel between council buildings is required.
Proven experience working in a busy office environment.
Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.
Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills. Level 2 in numeracy and literacy, or equivalent qualifications.

Hours:-

20 hours per week - This is an evening role with working hours between 6.30 pm - 10.30 pm
