Summary
The States of Guernsey are looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join the team in Corbiere Ward.
Corbiere ward is a 20 bedded that provides nursing care for people living with dementia who’s needs cannot be met at home or in a community care setting.
The post holder will co-ordinate the management of the Ward in the absence of another Registered Nurse taking responsibility, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained following the CARE values. Assisting service users with all activities of daily living is a core component of this role. The post holder will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, delivering and evaluating personalised care for a group of individuals, ensuring service users and family are included in decision making, preserving privacy and dignity. Service user’s views will be respected and where possible they will be included in any decisions around their care.
The post holder will be responsible for their own personal development, ensuring mandatory/statutory training is completed in a timely manner. Adhering to all HSC policies and procedures. The post holder is expected to act as a mentor, practice assessor/supervisor to junior staff and students.
