Summary
Location: mobile role working across the Southern Water patch with a base of Falmer, East Sussex
Hours: 40 hours per week
What will you be responsible for?
As a Surveyor, you'll be working within the Southern Water team, supporting them in providing strategic planning, design, and construction management services across both water and wastewater projects.
Your day to day will include:
-Conduction GPR surveys to identify and map subsurface features, including utilities, foundations and geological anomalies
-Carrying out topographical surveys
-Using the appropriate survey equipment to record existing utilities when uncovered in the works or trial holes
-Collaborating with project managers, engineers and other team members to plan and execute surveys according to project requirements
What are we looking for?
This role of Surveyor is great for you if:
-You have knowledge of engineering data management systems and the safe storage of survey information within defined CDE systems and collaborative platforms, including Autodesk, Sharepoint, IMS
-User of, IQMaps, Insights pro, UNext, IDS-Gcad-xyz, Geopgraphic informatioan systems (GIS), MicroStation or Autodesk AutoCAD Platforms with the ability to create, manage update project drawings to reflect surveyed information.
-Standards Knowledge - PAS128, HSG47, and CICES
-CAT & Genny Training Course - safe excavation, signal interpretation, and underground hazard avoidance
