Summary
Night Shift Hygiene Operatives Wanted – Immediate Start!
We are currently recruiting for Hygiene Operatives to work the night shift at a busy meat production factory. This is a vital role in maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene across our site to ensure food safety and compliance.
Position Overview:
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Shift: Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Ongoing, full time role
Pay: basic rate £12.99 per hour & overtime after first 40 hrs + weekends are time and a half
Breaks: 2 x 15-minute paid breaks per shift
Key Responsibilities:
• Deep cleaning of production equipment, machinery, and factory floors
• Disassembling and sanitising production line components
• Using industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
• Ensuring all hygiene standards and procedures are strictly followed
• Working in cold and wet environments (PPE provided)
• Completing hygiene records and checklists accurately
• Collaborating with the team to meet nightly cleaning targets
Requirements:
• Previous cleaning or hygiene experience (preferably in a food factory) is desirable but not essential – full training provided
• Comfortable working night shifts and in a meat production environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness
• Good understanding of hygiene and safety protocols
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining site hygiene
