Summary
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To plan, prepare and teach ESOL classes in community settings as agreed with the Lead Tutor and Quality Manager. To carry out the administrative tasks required for these courses. To provide appropriate learner feedback and support and educational advice, and information where necessary, and to create an appropriate and welcoming atmosphere for learners.
Responsibilities include:
Schemes of learning and curriculum design
Session plans and materials
Initial assessments
Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
Completion of RARPAP paperwork
Risk assessments, H&S & safeguarding compliance
Identifying and implementing additional support requirements
Supporting with promoting courses, learner recruitment and local partnership work
