About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in keeping our production equipment running smoothly through both reactive and preventative maintenance. Your expertise will help minimise downtime, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with safety and food quality standards. You will collaborate closely with teams across the site to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to reduce downtime
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production and site machinery
- Diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and food safety regulations
- Support engineering improvement projects and maintain an organised workspace
About You
We are looking for a practical, hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you have both mechanical and electrical skills and a passion for problem-solving, you could be the perfect fit. Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is a bonus, but we welcome candidates eager to develop their skills further.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical discipline
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance and continuous improvement processes
- Experience in FMCG or similarly fast-paced environments preferred (food manufacturing advantageous but not essential)
- 18th Edition Electrical Certificate is a plus
Working Hours
- 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
