Our client is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Commissioning Home Manager to take the reins of a brand new, purpose-built luxury care home. This is a perfect role for someone with a proven track record in residential care management and the confidence to bring a new service to life.

The Commissioning Home Manager will oversee every aspect of the service from the ground up — from recruitment and regulatory compliance to budget setting and community engagement. Working closely with the provider, you’ll ensure the home opens smoothly and operates to the highest standards of care, quality, and comfort.



This is a hands-on leadership role that requires drive, resilience, and vision. You’ll be building a culture of warmth, respect, and person-centred care from day one.



What We’re Looking For



  • Extensive experience as a Registered Home Manager in a residential care setting (essential)

  • Previous commissioning experience highly desirable

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent)

  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding, and health and safety regulations

  • Excellent budget management and resource planning skills

  • Confidence in managing projects, meeting deadlines, and achieving targets

  • Inspirational leadership style with a passion for quality and team development

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the commissioning and opening of a brand new residential care home

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing and compassionate team

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively from pre-opening through ongoing operations

  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and all statutory requirements

  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and the wider community

  • Deliver outstanding care with a focus on dignity, quality, and individual outcomes

  • Monitor and drive financial performance, occupancy, and service quality

  • Project manage milestones to ensure a smooth and successful opening
