Role Purpose
As a Business Development Executive, you will be championing Welcomm’s growth by generating a sustainable pipeline of high-quality new business leads. Through proactive outreach, thorough research and strategic calling efforts, you will identify and engage with potential customers, seeking to uncover and understand their needs, with the aim of booking meaningful appointments for Business Development Managers (BDMs).
Role Responsibilities
Proactively research and identify potential business opportunities.
Initiate contact with prospective customers, making smart use of various channels, including cold calling, email marketing and social media.
Assess the needs and pain points of potential customers, facilitating the BDMs alignment of Welcomm’s service offerings with customer expectations.
Effectively present Welcomm's value proposition to spark interest and encourage customers to learn more about our services.
Convert new business leads into high-quality genuine appointments for the BDMs.
Collaborate with BDMs to ensure meetings are well-prepared, providing them with relevant insights and background information from the initial need find.
Document customer contact updating The Layer, CRM system, to facilitate future opportunities.
Maintain a positive attitude and persevere in the face of challenges, using setbacks as opportunities to develop new skills and improve performance.
Establish and nurture strong relationships with potential customers, positioning Welcomm as their first choice when existing contracts are expiring, and they are looking for new solutions.
Education and Skills/Qualifications
English and Maths GCSE (Essential)
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Essential)
Great active listening skills.
Experience in a customer facing role, i.e. customer service, retail or hospitality (Beneficial)
Experience in telesales and cold calling (Beneficial)
Personal Attributes
Passionate about customer support.
Strong communicator.
Resilient – navigate challenges with determination, viewing obstacles as learning opportunities.
Detail-orientated with a high level of organisation.
Patience – persistent but not belligerent.
