Summary
The Role
Do you want to make a difference to the lives of people in North Herts?
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Communications team at North Herts Council.
As part of our small communications team, you will be responsible for:
• Drafting press releases and liaising with our local media
• Helping to compile publications such as our residents’ magazine
• Handling media enquiries
• Producing regular internal communications
• Planning media campaigns
The Experience you will bring
To do this successfully you will need significant PR or communications experience and be:
• An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Able to write for a variety of audiences across a range of channels
• Able to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and our contractors to gather positive news stories and promote the work we do
• Excellent media relations skills
• A team player
