Summary
This post is responsible to the Petroleum Depot Manager for co-ordinating the packing and distribution of all Packed Fuel, Oils and Lubricants to Front Line Commands and the wider MOD. It includes the administration and the safe and efficient day to day operation of the storage, maintenance and accounting activities of the Packed Fuel, Oils, Lubricants and Associated product. This role includes Health & Safety and Environmental Protection for the warehouse area. This position is line manager for industrial and non-industrial personnel within the Packaging & Distribution area.
In the event of an urgent operational requirement to issue urgent demands, you will be expected to respond if required to do so unless on authorised leave.
Responsibilities:
Leadership by example and Line Manager for all Industrial, non-industrial and agency personnel employed in the Packing and Distribution team area.
Maintaining an awareness of emerging policies as well as the interpretation, advising and enactment of existing policies concerning petroleum activities as they relate to the depot's business.
The allocation of workforce and resources in support of depot issue processes and activities to facilitate the issue of packed fuel in support of Operations and core activities for the MOD worldwide.
Working with the Petroleum Deputy Depot Manager, the development of training standards for P&D personnel, including maintaining a working knowledge of all processes and activities within the depot by undertaking all tasks to maintain currency and competency to provide managerial support where needed.
Responsible for the implementation and review of Standing Operating Procedures.
Production of weekly and monthly Line Management reports and overtime for the Petroleum Depot Manager.
Ensure accurate accounting and safe storage of packed fuels, oils and lubricants in accordance with the requirements of military policy.
Establish and manage a ‘helpdesk’ facility.
The unit authorised demander for site, ensuring all materials are kept in stock.
The investigation and documentation of results for all customer complaints regarding Receipts & Issue activities.
The management of Stocktaking and Discrepancy Report progression in accordance with MOD policy including the production and submission of any associated investigation reports.
Site co-ordinator for all outloads of demands to meet the Required Delivery Dates via all means of transportation.
The focal point for enquiries relating to Packed stock, Demands, Dangerous goods and Transportation.
Responsible for all customs paperwork and queries.
. Managing and implementing Health & Safety policy on a day-to day basis.
MHE supervisor ensuring all faults are reported correctly on the contractor’s website & the collation and entry of the MHE ‘hours run’ figures into the contractor’s web site at the end of each month.
Manage, maintain, and enforce an effective 7-day roster for the Duty on Call cover.
