Summary
Metallurgical Process Engineer
The Opportunity:
If you are a seasoned Process Engineer with experience of working within a metallurgical environment, this role would suit you perfectly. This Process Engineer role is varied, interesting, and working within a progressive and fast paced environment. So your assessment of processes and suggestions for improvement will be fully relied upon to make things even better!
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for qualification and delivery of robust, metallurgically sound processes, to meet customer specified requirements.
- Review metallurgical related product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements and related specifications.
- Co-ordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering metallurgical issues.
- Review and approve customer specifications in regard to metallurgical requirements.
- Continuous improvement and maintaining metallurgical processes, troubleshoot manufacturing problems and root cause analysis, and reviewing cost reduction through process improvements.
- Interaction with customers to understand technical requirements and resolve issues.
Requirements:
- 4 years of applicable Process Engineering experience and knowledge of Multi-discipline Engineering fundamentals
- Degree/HNC or equivalent in Engineering discipline
- Tooling design and/or CAD experience
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and ABS
- Computer literate (MS Office, MS Project, MRP systems)
- Good statistical understanding (SPC/Process Capability/Gauge R+R)
Pay and Benefits:
8am-4pm Monday to Friday
