Summary
We’re looking for a bright, enthusiastic Apprentice Nursery Nurse to join our passionate team at The Old Forge Day Nursery and begin an exciting career in early years education.
What You’ll Be Doing:
•Supporting qualified practitioners with daily routines, activities, and care for children aged 0–5
•Learning how to plan and deliver creative, engaging learning experiences
•Building strong relationships with children, parents, and your team
•Helping to create a warm, welcoming, and safe nursery environment
•Studying for your Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Qualification (depending on prior experience)

Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. The Den Nursery Group will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through The Den‘s dedicated training provider, Realise.
Qualifications required
No experience is necessary — just your
enthusiasm and dedication to building a rewarding early years career.

A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Great communication skills and a team mindset

Duration 15 months
