Pay rate: £20.86 per hour PAYE
Working Arrangement: Hybrid. You will need to be in the office 4-5 days a week as the role is carrying out housing visits.
Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Housing Visiting Officer with experience of working in housing on tenancy checks.
As the Visiting Officer you will support residents by conducting home visits at all tenanted properties to assess needs, verify information, and provide guidance on housing.
You will act as a key link between the council and the community, ensuring services are delivered fairly and efficiently. Home visits will also ensure the correct information of who is living in each property, is confirmed.
Key Responsibilities may include:
Conduct home visits to council tenanted properties
Perform tenancy checks and verify household composition
Identify support needs and signpost to relevant services
Maintain accurate records and report findings
Build positive relationships with residents and stakeholders
What the client is looking for:
Previous experience working in housing, particularly with tenancy checks
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage a caseload and work independently
A commitment to delivering excellent public service
