Summary

Are you an experienced administrator within an HR background, who is keen to join a friendly, passionate team, putting children at the heart of everything we do?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join Olympic Primary Academy. We are seeking to appoint a versatile, sociable and positive minded HR and Finance administration.

The Administration team holds an integral function within the school, providing quality and a breadth of services; the first point of contact for staff, pupils, families and visitors to the school. The ability to keep a cool head under pressure is essential, as is a friendly and professional approach with all staff, children, parents and visitors alike. HR experience and an excellent level of IT skills are desirable, attention to detail is essential. The successful applicant will ideally have experience working in a busy office, within an educational setting.

Reporting directly to the HR Lead and Office Manager, the Administrator with HR and Finance is responsible for ensuring all administrative aspects of the school run efficiently through effective working practices. Your core duties will include but are not limited to:

• Manage manual and computerised record/information systems.
• Analyse and evaluate data/information and produce reports/information/data as required.
• Take minutes of formal personnel meetings
• Undertake administration of day to day HR and finance procedures.
• Complete and submit complex forms, returns etc., including those to outside agencies e.g. DfES.
• Undertake the administration of the payroll system.
• Manage the administration of recruitment e.g. arranging advertising, collating documentation for candidates; to include medical clearance and criminal record checks as required;
• Create and maintain Personnel Files, and personnel data, both in hard copy and electronic form.
• Manage and maintain the Single Central Record of appointments in accordance with safer recruitment legislation.
• Monitor staff absence and trigger appropriate action, including statutory sick pay and provide reports as necessary.
• Dealing with queries from parents, staff and children alongside other Office team members.
