Lecturer - Fabrication

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Newcastle College has an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting learners to achieve their potential. The successful Lecturer in Fabrication, will have the opportunity to work at the Energy Academy and will be a fundamental part of the Energy department. The Lecturer role includes supporting learners to further develop skills and knowledge allowing them to achieve their potential and progress to their chosen next steps.


The College are seeking a candidate that can work collaboratively and effectively with curriculum teams and young people to secure the very best outcomes for each individual. Ideally, they will have experience of preparing and adapting learning materials to support the learner journey and will be confident supervising learners in a range of environments.


The candidate must have qualifications and/or experience of the Engineering sector ideally including industry experience in fabrication, welding, or manufacturing. experience of teaching and /or assessing would be advantageous.


The successful candidate will have experience of using computer software such as Microsoft applications and ideally have applied these in a teaching and learning environment. Experience of supporting and facilitating individuals and groups of learners is essential, as is a proven track record of providing suitable learning resources in those settings.
