The Best Connection are an Employment Business recruiting for this role on behalf of our client.
Our client is one of the UKs largest commercial Geopost businesses and operate a depot near York, YO26.
In anticipation of annual holiday cover we require A VAN COURIER MULTI DROP VAN DRIVER to start on 25th July.
You must meet certain criteria in order to apply for this role,
THE CRITERIA IS : MUST HAVE A UK LICENCE HELD FOR MORE THAN 1 YEAR. MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS OF AGE FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES. NO MORE THAN 6 MINOR POINTS. NO DR, DD OR CD ENDORSEMENTS. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS MULTI DROP COURIER EXPERIENCE. MUST HAVE A SMART PHONE WITH NFC FUNCTION. MUST BE PREPARED TO FULLFIL HISTORIC REFERENCING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS MUST BE PREPARED TO APPLY FOR A DBS CHECK IF THE ASSIGNMENT REACHES 13 WEEKS MUST BE PREPARED TO WORK WEEKENDS IF REQUESTED TO DO SO The role will require the van courier driver to work any 5 days out of 7 and start work at 07.00 in the morning and load their van scanning each parcel/package with their smart phone as they load. The smart phone app will then work out the most efficient delivery route & order for the parcels on the van. The driver must then follow this route making the deliveries as required. The expected volume of parcels is from 80 to 120. Drivers will be kept in the same postcoded area as much as possible but may be requested to cover other areas if the business needs this.
PAY : £ 12.21 PER HOUR
