The school provides education to 14 young people between the ages of 11 and 18, who present with a variety of SEN including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and autism. Ours is a small school with a big heart. Members of our team are all committed to providing a positive and nurturing experience to our students, most of whom have had very negative experiences of school before coming to us.
This is an interesting role involving much more than assisting in the classroom. Our TAs experience a lot of variety in their week - providing emotional support as key workers, preparing food with students, walking in the Ironbridge area, accompanying students to off-site therapies and activities, providing 1:1 support, updating students records and plans and benefitting from specialist training to support our students.
All applicants must have a UK driving licence due to the semi-rural location and the need to transport our young people off site for more specialist interventions and activities
