The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will work on the production of both military uniforms (including ceremonial dress and service wear) and bespoke civilian suits, contributing to the full garment construction process. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the quality and heritage of our tailoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate industrial sewing machines (flatbed, overlocker, and walking foot)
Assemble garments from cut pieces with a high degree of accuracy
Handle a variety of fabrics.
Sew in a sequence and complete the whole item.
Ensure all stitching meets rigorous quality standards.
Working to written specification.
Collaborate with cutters, finishers and tailors as part of a small, dedicated team.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a sewing machinist in tailoring or garment production
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to follow technical instructions.
Comfortable working on both structured uniforms and soft tailoring
Experience in military garment production (preferred but not essential)
Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
