Summary

We're looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team based anywhere between Heathrow and Oxford.



Location: Flexible on location - ideally between Heathrow and Oxford - hybrid working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us



What will you be responsible for?

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll be working within the Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team, supporting them in the preparation of monthly management accounts, with variance analysis to budget/forecast on a timely basis, perform key reconciliation tasks and assist with monthly/year-end processes and statutory returns.

Your day to day will include:

- Assist in the provision of front-line financial support to local and regional teams

-Assist in the preparation of weekly cash forecasts

-Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly reporting, including contract performance, productivity analysis and cost base

-Assist in the balance sheet reconciliation process and cash reporting to ensure robust control of CVR's (Cost and Value Summaries), balance sheet and working capital takes place

-Build relationships with wider functions, including Fleet, Financial Shared Service Centre, Procurement and Commercial



What are we looking for?

This role of Assistant Management Accountant is great for you if:

-Working towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), final stage part qualified accountants will be considered

-AAT qualified/Degree in Accountancy

-Basic commercial knowledge and experience of operating in a Construction environment, with project accounting experience

-Advanced data analytic and excel skills
