Purosearch are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our care home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working with older adults within social care specialism and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care, managing staff, and developing care plans tailored to meet the needs of our residents, including those with dementia.
Duties
Supervise and manage the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Lead and support a team of senior/ care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
Oversee medication administration and ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed.
Develop, implement, and review individual care plans for residents, ensuring they receive personalised care that meets their needs.
Conduct regular assessments of residents’ health and well-being, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of resident care and staff performance, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for residents.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the home, encouraging staff development and training opportunities.
Requirements
A valid NVQ level 5 qualification or equivalent with experience in a residential care home or similar setting is essential.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Strong understanding of medication administration practices and regulatory requirements in healthcare settings.
Experience in developing care plans tailored to individual needs, particularly for residents with dementia.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff alike.
A compassionate approach to care with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing documentation and compliance standards.
