Summary


The NHSE EoE Team is a new and vibrant team supporting the first year of Physician Associates (PA) within secondary care, responsible for supporting the delivery of the educational programme, but also supporting the development of the PA workforce community alongside the primary care ambassadors.

We are looking for up to two enthusiastic and experienced individuals who can support the national expansion and embedding of the Physician Associate Programme in the East of England.

As Training Programme Facilitators for the PA Team you will provide professional expertise to the PA training and education programmes, overseeing delivery of a portfolio of programmes and interventions on behalf of the PA leadership team, working with the PA Training Programme Director with a focus on the first year PA preceptorship year in secondary care

The role requires excellent leadership management skills and an understanding of education and teaching.

Oversee a portfolio of training activity programmes:

• Lead the business planning processes to provide input into the strategic development of the educational work. Lead the business planning process and provide input into the educational support strategy
• To identify and support PA trainees requiring additional support educationally and professionaly.
• To design and implement appropriate teaching, learning and assessment plans to support trainees and their educational supervisors
• To design and implement training on supervision and appraisal of PA for supervisors
• To ensure the availability of high quality training and support for PA And Educational Supervisors
• To provide professional expertise on specific portfolio of work
• To manage the provision and development of resources, services and opportunities for PA and their educators from across the healthcare professions
• To have an understanding and awareness of how the activities and objectives of the department align with the wider business planning for NHSE, in particular to NHSE EoE and the nominated ICS/STP(s)
• To implement recommendations of LENG review specifically with respect to training, supervision and appraisal
• Implementation of careers and return to practice support
