Summary
Lecturer - Computing
Location: Central Bedfordshire
Salary: £31,930 - £36,878 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term (until July 2026)
About the Role:
A College based in central Bedfordshire is seeking a dynamic and committed Lecturer in Computing to join the team. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across a range of computing courses, helping students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging computing lessons
- Monitor student progress and support individual learning needs
- Contribute to curriculum development and innovative teaching resources
- Ensure timely completion of course-related administration and quality assurance
- Promote safeguarding, equality and inclusion in all aspects of the role
About You:
- Degree in Computing or equivalent professional experience
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification if not already held
- Ability to teach topics including Networking, Security, and general Computing subjects
- Strong communication, organisation and team collaboration skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development
