Summary
University of Staffordshire is seeking its next Head of Department for Nursing and Midwifery.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to lead on the design, implementation and delivery of our Nursing and Midwifery curriculum for 2027 and to continue the strong trajectory that this innovative department continues to pursue. With our programmes being delivered across our main Stoke-on-Trent Campus and at our Centre for Health Innovation in Stafford, we have invested heavily in our facilities, our team and our pedagogic approach.
This post offers an opportunity for an experienced Registered Midwife or Nurse to lead a team of academics in a Department which sits within the School of Health, Education, Policing and Sciences - offering unrivalled opportunities for intra-School multidisciplinary education using our simmersive approach.
The successful candidate will be a registrant of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, educated to postgraduate level (or equivalent experience). They will have significant experience of academic portfolio development and of positively influencing key performance indicators relating to student experience. As an experienced leader, the successful applicant will have evidence of effective relationship management, and developing and motivating diverse teams.
