Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations at Nellybells Daycare. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in early childhood education, enabling them to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff, promoting professional development and teamwork.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that encourage children's learning and development.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress, concerns, and nursery activities.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of nursery staff.
Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community.
Ensure effective record-keeping related to children's development, attendance, and health & safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience in childcare management or early childhood education is essential.
Strong leadership abilities with a passion for nurturing young minds.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
A deep understanding of child development principles and best practices in early years education.
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
A relevant qualification in early childhood education or childcare management is preferred but not mandatory.
