About the Role
We are seeking a skilled IT Support and Infrastructure Engineer to join our London-based team.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining our IT infrastructure, providing technical support to staff, and
implementing solutions that enhance our technology capabilities. The ideal candidate will combine strong problem-solving abilities
with good communication skills and provide reliable IT services.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first and second-line technical support to users across the organisation
* Install, configure, and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, and workstations
* Implement and manage cloud-based infrastructures (such as Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure AD, SharePoint)
* Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operations
* Manage and maintain network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
* Conduct regular system backups and implement disaster recovery procedures
* Manage software deployments, updates, and patches across the IT estate
* Document IT processes, configurations, and solutions
* Collaborate with external vendors and service providers as needed
* Participate in IT projects to improve infrastructure and services
Health & Safety Requirements:
* The role may involve physical activities such as lifting, carrying, and transporting IT equipment weighing up to 25–30kg.
* Appropriate manual handling training will be provided by the company to ensure safe working practices are followed.
* The successful candidate must adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements
* Related field or equivalent practical experience
* 3+ years of experience in IT support or infrastructure engineering
* Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
* Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware)
* Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing
* Familiarity with cloud platforms and services
* Experience with backup and recovery solutions
* Knowledge of IT security best practices
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
Desired Skills
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently
* Experience with Team Telephony, Corporate Wi-Fi systems and Conference\AV systems
