Work base: Coed Pella/ Hybrid


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Conwy Social Services as a Personal Advisor (PA) dedicated to working with Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children and young people from the age of 16-25. You will have case holding responsibility for young people and participate in the assessment and preparation of Pathway Plans for those who are eligible. The Pathway Plan sets out the young person's aspirations regarding education, accommodation, health, social relationships, and specific needs. As a PA working with asylum seeking children and young people you will also assess how the asylum process impacts on the above areas, supporting to minimise the barriers the young people may face.

The role will not only involve close liaison and joint work with social workers and personal advisers but also involve close liaison with local support services for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, the Home office, and Legal advisors.

As young people are placed across the country, the role will include frequent visits to see the young people in their home.

Due to the nature of the work, it will be necessary to obtain a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)

This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.
