Summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Nurse Apprentice to join our friendly and professional dental team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification in Dental Nursing. You'll provide essential chairside support and play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care.
We are looking for someone who is Hard working, eager to learn, team player, consistent and punctual.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the dentist during a wide range of clinical procedures
• Prepare and maintain the clinical environment and equipment
• Ensure all equipment is sterilised and cross-infection control protocols are
followed
• Record and update patient information accurately
• Support patients throughout their visit, providing reassurance and guidance
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organisation within the practice
• Carry out administrative tasks such as booking appointments and handling
records
• Attend college or training sessions regularly and complete coursework to meet
apprenticeship standards
Qualifications & Requirements: Maths and English grade 4/C or above
Desired skills required :
• A genuine interest in dental care and patient support
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, organised, and able to follow instructions
• Friendly and approachable manner
• Willingness to learn and take part in professional development
Working week: 8.45 - 17.30p.m
Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete Dental nurse level 3 apprenticeship
