The Role
As a Credit Controller, you will manage the credit control process across multiple revenue streams, supporting the smooth running of the finance function.
Specifically, you will ensure customers are invoiced accurately and on time, support cash flow by monitoring outstanding debts and liaise with internal teams and customers to resolve issues and chase payments.
Beyond this, you will also maintain a clean and reconciled sales ledger of over 4,000 customer accounts, proactively resolving payment discrepancies and building rapport with customers to encourage timely payments.
Additionally, you will:
- Raise and issue customer invoices and credit notes using Salesforce and NetSuite
- Perform reconciliations and data housekeeping for customer accounts
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure smooth order-to-cash processes
- Prepare regular reports and KPIs on aged debt, debtor days and cash collections
- Support month-end processes with accurate ledger data and reconciliations
About You
To be considered as a Credit Controller, you will need:
- Experience in practical sales ledger and credit control roles
- Confidence using systems such as Salesforce and/or NetSuite
- A solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and output VAT
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport
- Self-motivation and the ability to work on your own initiative
- The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail
- A problem-solving mindset and sound judgement on when to escalate issues
