Tutor in History of Art on the following courses:
History of Art 1A: Images and Identity, 500-1700 (HIAR08029) (sem 1)
History of Art 1B: Making Meaning in the Premodern World (HIAR08030) (sem 2)
The Opportunity:
We are seeking to appoint Tutors with expertise in relevant areas of History of Art, to join a team of teaching staff contributing to learning and teaching at undergraduate level. The successful candidate will assist with teaching, assessment and feedback across a variety of undergraduate courses from the start of the 2025-26 academic year. The courses have specified learning outcomes and sit within the undergraduate BA (Hons) History of Art and MA (Hons) Fine Art programmes.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Be familiar with the methods, theories and historiography of art history.
A commitment to sharing this knowledge through passionate teaching.
Ability to work within a team with a collegial attitude, respect and sensitivity toward students and other staff members.
Demonstrable ability to apply knowledge, skills and techniques to teaching and ability to understand the needs of a group of/and individual students and to provide appropriate guidance.
An enthusiastic, positive and creative approach to teaching.
