Summary

Catering Manager

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

We’re on the hunt for a Catering Manager who lives and breathes catering operations and knows that memorable food experiences start well before the first bite. Based in Hemel Hempstead, this is a leadership role for someone who thrives on creating standout moments through exceptional service, beautifully presented food, and smooth, efficient operations.

From fuelling early risers with breakfast, or managing flawless delivery for corporate lunches, you’ll be the driving force behind it all. With an eye for quality, a passion for presentation, and a deep appreciation for good food, you’ll bring energy and warmth to every customer interaction.

You’ll be overseeing the catering units under the 14forty brand, ensuring operational consistency, team performance, and customer satisfaction are delivered to the highest standards across all services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of the day-to-day catering operation across multiple service points

  • Leading and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional service and hospitality

  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and adapting services accordingly

  • Collaborating with kitchen and support teams to ensure smooth coordination, great food, and happy customers

  • Managing budgets, monitoring performance, and identifying ways to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality

  • Embedding high standards of food safety, health, and hygiene at every step

  • Championing sustainability and reducing waste as part of our journey to net zero

About You

  • Proven experience managing high-volume catering operations

  • A service-first mindset with a genuine love for food, presentation, and customer experience

  • Strong leadership skills, you know how to motivate a team and keep standards high

  • Financial acumen and a sharp eye for detail when it comes to budgets, stock, and scheduling

  • A confident, proactive approach to client relationships and team communication

  • Level 3 Food Safety is a big plus, along with up-to-date knowledge of health and safety
