Summary

Renewals Underwriter – Financial Lines
Location: Leeds (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £40,000 + 20% Bonus

Are you an experienced underwriter or insurance professional with a background in financial lines or commercial insurance? This could be a great next step into a technical, desk-based underwriting role with real career potential.

This opportunity sits within a well-established and collaborative underwriting team based in Leeds. The role is focused purely on renewals, giving you the opportunity to manage and retain an existing book of financial lines business while strengthening broker relationships.

This role centres on managing an existing book of financial lines business, including Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers, Construction, and Liability. You’ll work closely with brokers to retain and develop key accounts while delivering high-quality underwriting decisions and maintaining strong relationships. The environment is ideal for someone who thrives in a desk-based, technical underwriting role rather than a new business or sales-led environment.

They’re open to individuals from a broking or insurer background, provided you have experience in financial lines or wider commercial lines and a strong understanding of how to assess and underwrite risk.
