Summary
Are you making the most of your Class 1 Driving Licence?
We’re looking for a reliable and dedicated Class 1 Driver to join a busy team based in Ilkeston, starting immediately. The role involves palletised deliveries across the UK.
You’ll typically complete one drop and a collection per shift. If the route takes you further afield or involves a run planned for the next day, you may be required to night out. On average, this will be around 3 nights out per week, paid at £30 per night.

There is no handball involved as this is all palletised work, but after you’ve been trained on Forklifts (if you don’t already have your licence), you may be occasionally required to unload your vehicle.
To be suitable for this role, you will need 3 years of class 1 driving experience along with the below:
- A Class 1 (HGV) Driving licence.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- A valid UK CPC qualification.
- A Forklift licence would be preferred but is not essential, as they will put you through the full forklift driving course if not.
This is a temp to perm role.
This is a Monday to Friday role, start times will vary based on the run but you will usually start at 07:30. Each shift last around 8 to 10 hours, but you will always be paid for a minimum of 8 hours.
But please note that there may sometimes be around 3 to 4 nights out a week.
The rate of pay is £18.15 per hour paid via our Umbrella provider.

You can choose to get paid through PAYE, meaning the pay is £15.00 per hour and in addition to this, we offer full pay for 28 days of annual leave, which will make the hourly rate £16.81 per hour including your holiday accrual.
They pay per night out is £30 per night.
