About the Role
As a Class 1 & 2 Driver, you will:
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently.
- Deliver chilled and ambient loads across the South West.
- Provide excellent customer service by managing delivery expectations at drop-off points.
- Maintain regular communication with the transport team to update on delivery progress.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to ensure compliance and skill development.
- Swap out lorries as required, including manual handling of transshipping using roll cages.
- Operate multi-temperature vehicles; LST training is preferred but can be provided.
- Keep in constant contact with the transport team, offering updates on your progress and ensuring our customers' expectations are consistently met.
- Engage in regular training sessions to stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices, continuously improving your skills.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Must have a UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence or Class 2 C Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
