The Governors of this forward-thinking school are looking to appoint a highly motivated teaching assistant to work in our school. Hurst Knoll St James’ CE Primary School combines good achievement, extremely high standards of care and a Christian ethos approach to learning.


As a teaching assistant we are looking to appoint someone who:

  • Is a consistently good practitioner.
  • Can provide support across school Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Is committed to supporting the development of independent lifelong learners.
  • Is familiar with, and understands, the National Curriculum and its requirements.
  • Believes in a creative and imaginative approach to learning.
  • Is proactive, reflective and uses initiative to further develop teaching and learning and enhance progress.
  • Is effective in supporting the class teacher to raise attainment and achievement.
  • Passionately believes in a Christian values/spiritually led ethos and that every child matters.
  • Is an effective team member and is willing to go ‘above and beyond’ in contributing to the ‘wider life’ of the school.
