Summary
Provides effective, safe, evidence based patient care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct Practices within the NMC code of conduct and has responsibility for promoting and monitoring this practice on the ward Takes the lead role in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised evidence based patient care including the monitoring of care standards through audit and other activities Participates in the development and implementation of an explicit ward philosophy of care Effectively processes admissions & transfers and plans discharges in accordance with UHSussex policy and standards, including liaison with partner agencies Actively participates and monitors the promotion of education for patients, their relatives and colleagues and ensures these needs are met within available resources Ensures provision of all drugs as prescribed in accordance with UHSussex Policy, including parenteral administration. Actively engages with Patient First Improvement Program.
