Summary
Principal Engineer needed in Newbury Paying £43,693 per annum Ref 5272227
Full time hrs on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership on the maintenance and management of highway structures.
- Deliver feasibility studies, project plans, and cost estimates.
- Oversee design, strengthening, and improvement works in line with CDM regulations.
- Review third-party infrastructure proposals and provide expert guidance.
- Conduct abnormal load assessments and ensure structural integrity.
- Manage procurement, budgets, and contractor performance.
- Represent the engineering function in stakeholder meetings and deputise for senior leadership when required.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record in delivering highway or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural standards, CDM regulations, and asset management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
